Jesse Baldwin and Kara Addelman presented regarding police liability issues to police supervisors. They instructed on recent changes to State laws effecting police, including a new department within the New York State Attorney General’s Office formed to investigate police misconduct and police officer’s rights and obligations regarding police misconduct investigations.

Kara Addelman was elected to serve a three year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Erie County. With over 3,000 members, the BAEC is the largest local Bar Association. The BAEC was founded in 1887 to “cultivate the science of jurisprudence; promote reform in the law; facilitate the administration of justice; elevate the standard of integrity, honor, and courtesy in the legal profession; and cherish the spirit of c(camaraderie) among the members thereof.”
Tara N. Karch Cross, Esq. was recently honored with the opportunity to join the Trucking Industry Defense Association (“TIDA”). TIDA is a nonprofit association with members devoted to sharing knowledge and resources for the defense of the trucking industry.
Kara Addelman was chosen as a 40 Under 40 honoree out of approximately 250 nominees. According to Business First, the list honors 40 men and women under the age of 40 “who are making strong headway in their professions and are heavily involved in out-of-work activities.”
